The Luzette pass and André Chamson's tomb

It is at the Luzette pass, overlooking the Taleyrac valley, that the tomb of academician André Chamson and his wife is located. André Chamson, born in Nîmes in 1900, spent much of his youth in Vigan, where his grandparents lived. He “passionately loved the mountain” and wished to be buried near Aigoual. André Chamson is the father of the writer Frédérique Hébrard, herself wife of the actor Louis Velle.
