The Pays Viganais is above all a family destination and 100% natural. With more than 500 km of marked and maintained trails, everyone can go.
Aware of the major challenges of preserving an exceptional territory, it is the entire network of actors who are mobilising for the environment.
Created in 1970, the Cévennes National Park is one of the ten national parks in France and the only one inhabited in the core zone. Atypical, it is a true emblem of the preservation of biodiversity. In the Cévennes, it is intrinsically linked to the man-nature interactions that have made it famous and to the diversity of its grandiose landscapes.
In 2017, the entire park was awarded the "International Starry Sky Reserve" (RICE) label, making it the second largest reserve in France after the Pic du Midi.
Between the Causses and the Cévennes, the Pays Viganais offers an infinite number of possibilities for lovers of the outdoors. Hiking, trails, mountain biking, cycling, fishing, stargazing or watching the local wildlife will delight young and old, amateurs and experts.
The area reveals its rich natural heritage, its renowned local products such as Pérail, Pélardon, the wine of the Larzac terraces and the sweet onion of the Cévennes, as well as its varied outdoor activities: hiking, horse riding or donkey rides, nature and discovery activities with a guide, mountain biking, tree climbing, trail running... These 7 nature and heritage holidays will allow couples, families or groups of friends to discover the many facets of the area from spring to autumn. On foot, on horseback or on the back of a donkey, by bike, by car or by motorbike; whether you are a fan of cocooning holidays, natural holidays or intrepid activities, the Grand Site du Cirque de Navacelles is a destination full of experiences for your holidays.
