You will cross one of the most beautiful natural sites in France!
You can warm up for about 16 km of a relatively busy road (the D999) - rising false flat profile - before joining the causse by the D158 and discovering completely different landscapes, a succession of hills in the middle of rocks limestones, to the village of Blandas. After less than 2 kms, the majestic Cirque de Navacelles and the meanders of the Vis will open to you.Tight bends will take you to the far end of the cirque, up to the level of the Vis before going up to the other side of the Causse, on the Hérault side, by laces whose last bends may make your tongue stick out.
The road in the gorges of the Vis between St Maurice de Navacelles and Madières is beautiful! The D48S, more straight, will take you to Montdardier and its castle with its imposing silhouette before descending by the winding road which will offer you a beautiful view of Le Vigan against the backdrop of the Aigoual massif and the Cévennes mountains.
Electric bike charging station in the Blandas belvedere car park (bring your cable).
