Le Vigan - AN ESSENTIAL STOPOVER

The Saint Guilhem Path crosses the vast natural spaces that link the Lozère department to the north to that of Hérault to the south.

Walking down from the granitic high plateaus of Aubrac and its green meadows, then crossing the mythical gorges of the Tarn, then the limestone plateau of Méjean and its floral wonders, the Cévennes National Park and the Mont Aigoual massif, to arrive towards Saint Guilhem-le-Désert after crossing the famous Cirque de Navacelles.

240 kilometers of pure wonder !

Coming from Mont Aigoual, Le Vigan is an essential stopover on the Saint Guilhem Path, it will allow you to refuel and rest before climbing Montdardier and crossing the Causse de Blandas.

In order to prepare your trip we recommend you to have a look at this website l'Association des Amis du Chemin de Saint Guilhem
